The God Who Comes - John 1V14-18; What sets Jesus Apart?
Tuesday Dec 24, 2019
Tuesday Dec 24, 2019
Thanks for joining us for our Christmas Gathering! Listen in as we conclude our series "The God Who Comes" -- Alex Rettmann expounds on two core ideas to our Christianity that set Jesus apart from all other religions: "The accessibility of God" & "The Generosity of God."
These two are what really bring us the great tidings of joy in this season!
What we really learned during this series more than anything is; A God that is looking for just right behavior, is a God that stays at a distant. A God that is only just a judge and waiting for a mis hap. However, the story of Jesus reveals a God that makes Himself accessible. He comes close to us. He is then generous and gives Himself fully to us in relationship! - We remember that we serve that God in this season. We focus on His goodness!
Blessings and tidings of joy to you! We pray you feel His closeness in this season!

This week we had the opportunity to hear from a Father of Saints Hill, one of our elders Jim Traut!
Listen in as Jim provokes us into a deeper trust with Jesus. This trust looks like really taking The Lord at His word and believing what He says about you!
We encourage you to often declare truths over yourself. Jim gave us an awesome list of biblical identity declarations at the end of his message!
Blessings and Peace!

Friday Dec 13, 2019
Friday Dec 13, 2019
Thanks for joining us as we continue in part 2 of our advent series, "The God Who Comes"
Alex Rettmann reveals who John was, and what his role was to make way for our Messiah to come near to us.
"John the baptist came to remove what Israel was previously carrying to fully receive the gift that is Jesus Christ......
... John was sent to develop an appetite to the meal that Jesus was serving up"
--
Saints Hill Church, lets do just that! In the hustle and bustle of this Christmas season, may we be the people that fully feast on Jesus, His presence, His goodness, above anything else!
Blessings!

Tuesday Dec 03, 2019
Tuesday Dec 03, 2019
Thanks for joining us as we take a holiday break from our current series, "House of Acts" and start "The God Who Comes Near." - For the month of December, we will be reading verse by verse the origin story of Jesus our Messiah in the book of John.
Listen in as Alex Rettmann shares how Jesus is the origin of everything. He is the great definer and great designer. He is the word and when He speaks it is the voice of God. Therefore in this holiday time, the supremacy of Christ is crucial.
"We are only as strong as our exaltation of Jesus"

House of Acts: Radical Generosity 4:32-27(Part 7)
Tuesday Nov 26, 2019
Tuesday Nov 26, 2019
This Sunday we had the privilege of hearing from, guest speaker, Josh Porter! - Josh Porter is the lead pastor of Vancity Church in Vancouver, Washington. Just like us, Vancity was also a church plant out of Bridgetown Church in Portland, OR.
Josh reminds us how serious the early church took Jesus' teaching when it came to generosity. That as followers of Jesus we must deliberately focus on divesting our resources for and towards others in need.
We pray that as you listen in; that you are so encouraged by the abundance given by The Lord, that it pushes you to radical generosity!
Peace to you Saints Hill family!

House of Acts: Boldness from The Spirit (Part 6)
Tuesday Nov 19, 2019
Tuesday Nov 19, 2019
Jacob Vigil continues our current series "House of Acts." We walk through Acts 4 and see Peter and John great opposition between the Sanhedrin. We see Peter "filled with spirit" proclaim that Jesus is Lord and with huge boldness declare truth in the midst of being on trial.
We believe God is raising up bold evangelists in our church! People that will not edit out certain parts of the Gospel. A people that boldly declare Jesus is Lord and salvation is only found in Him. Now is not a time of fear, but a time of big faith and great boldness!
Will you step out today? -- Peace and Blessings to you! Thanks for listening.

House of Acts: Healing is for today (Part 5)
Tuesday Nov 12, 2019
Tuesday Nov 12, 2019
This week we hear from Alex Rettmann as he walks us through Act 3! We read about the amazing healing that took place between a man and Peter! We are reminded that power being poured out on humanity was a promise from Jesus. As believers, moving in signs and wonders is an invitation and mandate that we are called to walk in. Not by our might, but because of Jesus and faith in His name!
We want to see our valley become a "sickness-free zone" and that starts with giving the people in front of us an encounter with Jesus. Christ IN YOU in the hope of GLORY!
Blessings!

House of Acts: The liturgy of the first church (Part 4)
Tuesday Nov 05, 2019
Tuesday Nov 05, 2019
Thanks for joining us as we continue in our series, "House of Acts" - In this message, Pastor Alex Rettmann really delves in and compounds on the truth that "God creates structures (liturgies) in our life for His Spirit to fill"
Alex reminds us that creating liturgies out of "spiritual obligations" is really just religion. That we can fall into the trap of "doing" so that we "become." But, our heart is to have our identity found first in Jesus and then practice/create a liturgy that He will fill. - Through the Gospel, we realize what we "have become" and then the overflow of that transformation will be us "doing the stuff"
Peace and Joy!

House of Acts: The baptism of The Holy Spirit; Acts 2:1-13 (Part 3)
Tuesday Oct 29, 2019
Tuesday Oct 29, 2019
This week, Alex Rettmann continues in our current series: House of Acts. We believe Saints Hill Church will be a House of Acts! For any of that to be possible we must have, receive, be filled, and baptized by The Holy Spirit!
Alex Rettmann walks us through the day at pentecost in Acts 2. He helps define biblically what "Wind" and "Fire" mean, and shows us how significant this outpouring of the Spirit really was. And, how we can have that again today!
Saints Hill Church is a growing family, and we look at the Sunday gatherings as a laboratory if you will. A place where we honor and follow Jesus, and desire to follow The Holy Spirit wherever He leads. We don't have all the answers and are learning from Him. But, our heart is, just like Alex proclaimed at the end of his talk: There is more!!

House of Acts: Called to Lead (Part 2)
Monday Oct 21, 2019
Monday Oct 21, 2019
This week we had the honor to hear from one of our elders, Andoni Montaño! - He continues in our current series, "House of Acts"
In this talk he reminds us that we are in a season, more than ever, where we are called to lead in a mighty way. This leadership also takes us to be fathered and mothered well. He shows us in the books of Acts how the early church established healthy leadership, as a model for us. In addition, Andoni revealed the beauty that comes from true submission to Jesus and others in leadership around us.
Be blessed and thanks for tuning in!
